Stewart A. Smith, CPA

Stewart is a Tax Advisor at MCF, based in our Lexington office. He brings over 40 years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant, specializing in tax planning for closely held businesses and their owners. He joined the firm in 2023.

Stewart earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Kentucky in 1974. He began his career at Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC) before co-founding Duncan, Smith & Stilz, CPA in 1978, where he remained until joining MCF.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Kentucky Society of CPAs (KSCPA), the Bluegrass Angels, and the Investment Associates of Lexington. He is also a member of the Thoroughbred Club of America and a lifetime member of the University of Kentucky Alumni Association.

In his free time, Stewart enjoys spending time with family, friends, and his fiancée, Julie.
